More often than not, Brazilian supermodel, Gisele Bündchen, knows what’s right for herself. From going to Japan at 14, to pursue modeling. But, it is yet to be seen whether the decision to divorce seven-time Super Bowl champion husband Tom Brady will stand tall or not. However, she has always stood firm in her decision. Despite amassing incredulous wealth along the way, there is one financial decision that still bugs her to this day. And, in her latest interview, she accepted the blunder that she made with FTX investment and apologized to her fans.

Brady and Bündchen did not hope for their investments in the cryptocurrency exchange token, FTX, to take a wild u-turn. The Sam Bankman-Fried-owned company filed for bankruptcy in November last year. And then, cops arrested SBF in the Bahamas the next month before extraditing him to the States with charges of investor fraud.
Besides owning almost a combined 1.8 million common stock equity in the company, Tom and Gisele also served as brand ambassadors. The couple also featured in multiple commercials for the crypto company. TB12 had nearly $45 million invested, while Bündchen may lose nearly $25 million from her fashion fortune.
“I was blindsided. I’m no different than everyone else that trusted the hype. A sound and great thing based on what my financial advisers told me. It’s just terrible. I’m so sorry for all of us that this happened. And I just pray that justice gets made,” she told Vanity Fair’s Michelle Ruiz in an exclusive interview from Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula this week.
Investors sued Brady and Gisele for their involvement
It’s not just the monetary loss that makes FTX such a traumatic episode in the lives of many like 4x NBA Champion Stephen Curry and the entire Golden State Warriors franchise. The troubles extended for Gisele and Tom, and the rest after certain individual investors sued FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried, and his fraudulent marketing campaign.

The lawsuit also involved NBA legend Shaq, Owner of the New England Patriots, Robert Kraft, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence, and comedian Larry David, among others. One particular plaintiff and Patriots fan, Michael Livieratos, put in $30,000, only because his favorite quarterback was the one advertising it.
