June is in full flow, and teams across the NFL are preparing their final rosters. Yet, while teams have nearly finalized their lineups, every team owner and GM is on the lookout for one player – Deandre Hopkins. Hopkins is one of the star WRs in the league and currently remains a free agent, ready to improve the roster of any contender who chooses to gamble on him. And, with his Twitter updates, it seems Hop is trying to convey something.

The 5x All Pro Receiver was released by the desolate Cardinals earlier in the offseason after failing to secure a desirable trade for the WR. Now, with every team on the lookout to add a receiver of Hopkins’ caliber, he has a choice to make about his future whereabouts. While many teams have emerged as contenders to sign the star, Hopkins took to Twitter to send out a message to fans and teams across the league. 

Deandre Hopkins’ message opens up the trade machine

Hopkins spent most of last season away from his team due to a suspension followed by a devastating knee injury, which would bring his short season to a close. But even in his shortened season, the WR still proved himself to be a dominant force, as he chronicled in his latest tweet. 

The tweet by Hopkins set fans off, as many started speculating trade rumors surrounding the WR. 

One fan was certain that Hopkins will be a perfect fit for the Buffalo Bills, You’re going to look great in two tone blue.”

Another fan was advocating for the WR to fly over to the Ravens, “RAVENS FLOCK 🐦‍⬛”

Many fans added more fuel to the growing rumors about Hopkins joining the Patriots, “Get your ass on the patriots immediately”, “PLS SIGN WITH @patriots”

“Patriots need you. I know that you would be welcomed and appreciated. The Pat’s defense is solid and there’s a chance for a realistic run. Just missing that one piece.”

To top it off, one fan even floated a 49ers rumor for Hopkins, “bang bang niner gang.

While fans wait with bated breath for the final decision that Hopkins takes, the implications of his decision could be severe. Any team with a decent roster would almost immediately rise into playoffs or even title contention by signing Deandre Hopkins. With such an elite talent still left on the market, the question remains – where will Hopkins go?

Where is Deandre Hopkins headed?

Hopkins is definitely the singular best prospect remaining in Free Agency. While the WR continues to work out for teams across the league, a few teams have emerged as primary contenders to land Hopkins. The Chiefs and Bills have been amongst the top teams in contention for Hopkins, but recent updates have added a brand new rival into the mix. 

The Patriots have emerged as the latest suitors for the WR after reports of Hopkins adding them to his list of workouts emerged. The receiver will first meet up with the Titans before heading over to meet up with the Patriots executives. If the Patriots are able to land the star, the pairing of Hopkins with Mac Jones and coach Bill Belichick will certainly elevate the Patriots to serious contention. For now, we can only wait to see where Hopkins is headed towards.
