The NFL’s trade deadline saw quite a splash in the time period. However, some teams remained inactive during that time. The Green Bay Packers were one of them, who did not clinch an athlete via trade. The franchise has been struggling recently and went through a downfall, and they have a crisis in the offensive momentum. Aaron Rodgers sounded his opinion on the situation and was rather off.

Aaron Rodgers made his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show and talked about multiple subjects. With the trade deadline closing during the live broadcast, the former NFL Punter asked the QB1 to put his thoughts on the trade situation. He also asked how the Packers were doing.
Aaron Rodgers mentioned, “We’re coming up on it hopefully. I was kind of hoping there might be uh you know some news during this show that we could break uh in a live time that would be pretty cool. I have had conversations with Brian [Gutekunst], you know the past few weeks. I’m not sure what’s going to happen but I know that we’ve, I’m not surprised to hear that maybe we were in on the on the Claypool [talks] and then we’ll see what happens.”
The Packers were close to grabbing Steelers WR Chase Claypool, but the Steelers went for the Bears Instead. Both teams had a similar package, but Pittsburgh opted for Chicago. The Steelers presume the Bears’ pick will be better.

Rodgers also discussed how the trade deadline has evolved into an intriguing event. Earlier, there wasn’t much action during the break. Prominent athletes like Pro Bowlers and All-Pro members didn’t switch groups as often, unlike now.
Will Aaron Rodgers not have a new target amidst offensive struggles?
The Trade period is off-limits, and the Packers could not pick up Chase Claypool. The franchise is back at square one, and need to move with what they are currently holding. WRs Allen Lazard, Sammy Watkins, and Christian Watson are dealing with injuries. Their availability for the Week 9 game against the Lions remains under scrutiny. But there is still a chance.

A few weeks ago I reported Odell Beckham Jr. likely wouldn't sign until after the trade deadline.
The teams I was told to watch in pursuit of him included the Bills, Chiefs, Rams, Ravens and Packers.
The NFL trade deadline has now passed. Beckham watch is front and center.

The Packers could not clinch the trade, but they still have a chance in free agency. They could get their way in the playoffs if they got Odell Beckham Jr in the mix. While the Super Bowl-winning WR has made no move in returning to the game, he could be the key to the playoffs.
