“I’m in the Free Market Right Now, Man”: 10 Months After Kayla Nicole Breakup, Single Travis Kelce Revealed His Relationship Priorities Before Super Bowl Final

Travis Kelce may have already chosen his football franchise for life. However, he is definitely still on the free agency list. Off-field, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end hasn’t shacked up with anyone after his last breakup, and the record-breaking athlete has his reasons for staying single. So what are his reasons for being single and enjoying all this success without a romantic partner?

It’s been 10 months since Travis broke up with former girlfriend Kayla Nicole and chose Patrick Mahomes as his sole chemistry partner. The dynamic duo is etching their place in the history books, as they clinched their second Lombardi trophy in four years. And that comes with a lot of sacrifices. Mostly from Travis.

The 2x Super Bowl champion joined Ryan Clark, Channing Crowder, and Fred Taylor on ‘The Pivot Podcast’, a month before the Super Bowl LVII showdown in Phoenix. And Travis discussed several things with the former NFL stars, including his celebrated bachelor life.

On being asked about his current situation, Travis said, “I’m in the free market right now. I’m out there just enjoying life. Focused on my profession. You know. And got my feet up outside of football.” And not through any lack of opportunity. The TE discussed the stream of incessant direct messages he receives on his Instagram from his female following.

“Just persistency, man. There are some ladies that’ll just, you’ll see, it’s just almost every single day. Just a different note or a different ‘hey what’s up’ and it’ll be for probably almost a year straight. Sister, hey! I see you trying. But I’m going to have to respectfully say no,” Kelce said on the podcast.

Kelce also cleared a huge rumor about his past relationship

Travis has tried his hand at the dating phenomenon. The ‘Catching Kelce’ actor even tried the reality TV lot out. However, Kayla Nicole was clearly special to Kelce. And the tight end is even rumored to have liked his ex’s Instagram photos coupled with some harmless online stalking, recently.

However, one of the main rumors that came out of the celebrity break-up last year was Chief Kelce’s frugalness. And Travis couldn’t help but crack out in laughter when the question came up on the podcast. “Don’t buy into s—t,” Kelce said. “I would never say that I was supporting her. She had a very financially stable life. But you gotta be crazy if you think I’d never help her. Or gave her a couple of dollars to grab food or like that. I mean, we were in a relationship for 5 years. A hundred dollars here and there wasn’t even thought about,” he added.
