Slowly and steadily, 31-year-old Cam Newton is beginning to silence his critics in the NFL circuit. The former 2015 NFL MVP has led the New England Patriots to a 2-1 record in the league after three weeks.
Newton boasts a 68% completion rate after three games. He’s thrown for 714 yards and has two passing TDs against two interceptions. He also four rushing TDs to his name after three games. He’s slowly building up his confidence under the tutelage of Bill Belichick and is one ‘good’ game away from turning the clock back to his MVP season.
Here’s what a certain former NFL star said about Cam Newton in light of the Patriots’ recent win over Las Vegas Raiders.

"I'll give him a B. The one thing he can't do is turn the ball over because they don't have the firepower to overcome mistakes. But Cam is doing some great things." pic.twitter.com/B5aHxfeIQf

On the latest segment of Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe gave his two cents on New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton.
He said, “Cam is doing some great things. They weren’t very good on third downs, they’re gonna have to get better…I’m gonna give Cam a ‘B’. I thought he played well, I thought he’s doing what they ask him to do and he’s only going to get better.

“I believe it’s only going to get better. As we go along, Cam gets more trust, understanding of the offense, they have more trust in Cam, this thing’s going to get better. Hold on Buffalo, you’re not going to run away with this thing just yet,” Sharpe said on the show.
Newton was crucial in the win over the Raiders. He will be the main man moving forward as the Patriots aim to make the Playoffs this year. Coach Bill Belichick’s squad is slated to go up against the reigning Super Bowl champions, Kansas City Chiefs, in Week Four.
