NFL veteran and Ex-Broncos, Jaguars DT Malik Jackson has called curtains on his career after 10 long years in the NFL. While speaking to the GMFB podcast, he said “I’m done” to refer to his NFL career that had a Super Bowl LV victory in his cabinet.
“That was the goal. Ten to 12 years was my goal,” Jackson told GMFB. “I was able to get to a point where I was doing OK. I was doing pretty well for myself. I did enough. I have a daughter, and I need to go home and be with her and start living life.“

Antonio Smith and Jurrell Casey were named the most underrated defensive linemen by Jackson. He also called out Philip Rivers for his trash-talk skills and recalled a funny incident on the set. Rivers calls out Malik and says “97 does not wanna be there, he is just there for the money” during the gameplay. It’s interesting to know how good of a career Malik has made as a fifth-round pick considering that most don’t even make it to Year 4, let alone play 10 seasons. Jackson was popular for making plays from the interior during his prime and has ended his career with 35.5 sacks, 292 total tackles, 63 tackles for loss, 106 QB hits, 29 passes defended, and four fumble recoveries. We wish him luck in his post-retirement days.
