The Buccaneers played the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL Munich game on Sunday, November 13. The Allianz Arena saw close to 70,000 attendees for the first football game in Germany.
Todd Bowles sees the light
With the greatest name in the game playing in Germany, it was no surprise that the Munich game was a sell-out. Fresh off a win, Brady was looking to deliver yet again for head coach Todd Bowles. A win would take them to 0.500. It would be sub-standard for the legendary quarterback but much needed for Bowles in his first season as head coach for the Florida franchise. Having been around for their Superbowl campaign, the potential in his locker room was never a mystery to him.
The Bucs contested with an in-form Geno Smith and his Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks entered the game 6-3 and as favorites while the Buccaneers struggled to find form at the beginning of the season. Post their much-needed win, an ecstatic Bowles gave his team more reason to celebrate. He got behind his players as he praised their efforts. “Hell of a job not coming here sightseeing,” Bowles said. He understood how big the win was as he went on to say, “That’s two in a row for us- we gotta start stacking them.” He then went on to reward his boys with a week off. “I will see you guys next Monday,” said the head coach as the locker room went into a frenzy.
