A-Rod’s situation is still laced with a sense of uncertainty. Ever since Aaron Rodgers shared his intentions to play the next season with the New York Jets, fans have been waiting with anticipation for a potential trade to happen with the Green Bay Packers. But the situation has come to a standstill as the two teams remain unable to find common ground on the possible trade.
If the deal does not pull through, who could possibly fit into the puzzle for the Jets and their QB situation? Long-time Jets fan Rich Eisen has a thing or two in mind regarding the fiasco happening over the Jets-Packers situation.

In the latest episode of the Rich Eisen show, the sportscaster opened up about the whole Aaron Rodgers fiasco. He talked about Rodgers making up his mind about playing for the Jets next season. And went on to state that if the Jets don’t sign Rodgers, the question that will linger is who will be the veteran that will fill the gap in the quarterback position for the Jets.
Eisen said, “Jets need a veteran quarterback. They are not going to go into the season with Zach Wilson. The question is if it is not Rodgers who’s it going to be. It’s not going to be anybody as good as Aaron Rodgers. And the Jets won’t be as good with anybody else that’s still left out there. And I don’t know who the hell is still left out there. I know there’s Lamar, I know there is Lamar that is still sitting out there.”
He further said, “But it is going to be Rodgers. You know why? Because the Packers aren’t taking him back either. And if the Packers are sitting back saying ‘Oh! We don’t have to pay him his money till September 1st. Oh! We could just sit around and wait’, they can’t move forward either.”
The question that still remains is if the Jets are unable to sign Rodgers, who will it be? Are they going to pick Jackson? And what will it mean for A-Rod’s future in the NFL?

Agentless Jackson’s trade dilemma
Along with the A-Rod drama, 2019 NFL MVP Lamar Jackson’s standoff with the Baltimore Ravens still remains at square one. The team recently placed a non-exclusive tag on Lamar, but he is still to come to a conclusive negotiation with anybody. His biggest hindrance seems to be his expectations from the contract. While one team is reportedly keen on testing the waters with Lamar, his future still remains uncertain in the NFL, quite like Aaron Rodgers.
It will be interesting to see how it all lays out for both A-Rod and Lamar in the coming days. Will the Jets finalize something with the Packers for Rodgers? Or will they be scouting for more possible options?
