Odell Beckham Jr. shared a funny reason why he was hesitant to join the Ravens. He had an interest in other teams and a silly fact made him reluctant. But in the end, the Ravens used a successful approach similar to what the Rams did, and they managed to recruit one of the wanted wide receivers.
When Odell Beckham Jr. agreed to join the Ravens, he said he wasn’t sure if Lamar Jackson would definitely be in Baltimore this season, but that turned out to be wrong, of course. Beckham recently opened up about his choice with sports reporter Dan Pompei from The Athletic. He confessed that he was not sure about joining the Ravens at first. He said that he liked other teams too. OBJ admitted that he was initially hesitant to join the Ravens, and hilariously mentioned ‘Baltimore always beat his old teams’.

“If I’m honest, I was resistant,” OBJ admitted to The Athletic’s Dan Pompei. “There were other places I wanted to go. I wasn’t necessarily a Ravens fan because the Ravens always whipped my a*s.”
But in the end, the money offer must have been too sweet to say no, as Pompei revealed. Now, in the 2023 season, Beckham will team up with star quarterback Lamar Jackson to hunt down any team as a devastating pair.

OBJ teamed up with Baltimore for one year and will earn $15 million. He could score an extra $3 million if he rocks on the field, which seems doable. The Baltimore team has boosted its wide receiver group, adding rookies like Zay Flowers, and also has players like Rashod Bateman, Nelson Agholor, Devin Duvernay, and others.
If Jackson and Beckham can click on the field, it could spell trouble for the other teams’ defenses. Beckham is a talented receiver who can make amazing plays far down the field, while Jackson is a thrilling quarterback who can run and throw on the move.
