The 28-year-old Chiefs star player recently broke the internet with his astonishing contract of a guaranteed $210 million for four years with the team. When asked if this makes him study business more or if he relies on his agents, Patrick Mahomes expresses his wish to be a sports agent.

In terms of annual salaries, Mahomes’ revised deal of $52.6 million boosted his place from No.8 to No.2 only after Cincinnati Bengals‘ Joe Herbert at $55 million. Despite the hike in his value, he remains grounded and practical in his reasoning. According to Mabomes, “I always wanted to help players. So I’ve always been interested in it. And I know I’m doing it a different way than other people. But I feel like it’s the right way for me.

Kansas City Chiefs’ Head Coach Andy Reid has nothing but respect for his star player. “He’s not big on all of that,” Reid said. “He just kind of moves through it like most things and wants to keep getting better. And that is what he’s doing. That’s what makes him unique. You don’t sit there and say, ‘Oh, he’s going to have a letdown.’ You just say, ‘Hey, congrats,’ and keep moving. That’s how he rolls. But I’m happy for him.
