The Philadelphia Eagles have set up a Super Bowl showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs. They dominated the NFC from start to finish and didn’t put a foot wrong in the playoffs. And all their performances pivot around the dual-threat nature of their QB Jalen Hurts. But rap icon Snoop Dogg is not happy with how the national media covered Hurts during the entire season.
Hurts put up another masterclass against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC championship clash. And Snoop wants the media to cover the leader behind Hurts’ success, his football coach father.

Snoop Dogg is not happy with the national media for their coverage on the Eagles superstar Jalen Hurts. After Hurts led his team to a Super Bowl berth, the rap icon shared a post on Instagram where he questioned the media as to why they do not cover the QB’s father, who is also a football coach.
“If his dad spent a decade in jail, ESPN and other media would eat it up. But when the father is a real leader and mentor, we get crickets,” Snoop said in the post. He also gave a shout out to Hurts’ father, Averion Hurts Sr.

Hurts Sr. is the former head coach of the Channelview High School football team. He coached his son Jalen through his childhood up to the high school team at Channelview. A knee injury ended Hurts Sr.’s professional football career, so he took it on himself to coach others like him to great heights. And he will now see his son compete in the Super Bowl on February 12.
Jalen Hurts showed why he is in the running for the league MVP this season against the Niners. Going up against the best defense in the NFL, Hurts and his offense blew the Niners out of the game.

The dominant Eagles march on
The Eagles dominated the Niners from the word go in the NFC championship game on Sunday. An early injury to the Niners QB Brock Purdy didn’t help the visitors’ cause either. But Hurts ensured that the Eagles didn’t fall into complacency and always looked to kill the game off.
Hurts didn’t throw a touchdown pass in the game. But his dual threat nature was at full display as he led his team to four touchdowns from the ground, three handoffs and one for himself. The Niners defense couldn’t guess the way in which Hurts would operate on any play. In the end, the Eagles convincingly won 31-7.
