Baker Mayfield is going all-in on the Buccaneers project. The QB signed a short-term deal with the franchise but has his eyes dead set on a long-term involvement. In his recent appearance as the new Buccaneers QB, Mayfield outlined how he wants his new franchise and teammates to see him.
“I’d hope they would say I am a very confident but caring teammate. You know, no matter what, willing to do whatever for our teammates and whatever we’re trying to get done. Winning, and however that’s supposed to look like, I’m gonna do it. The Tom Brady way
In 23 years, he was in the NFL, Tom Brady filled his fans with confidence. Seeing him on the field meant his team wasn’t out of the game till the final second. His record of the most fourth-quarter comebacks in NFL history speaks for itself. There was always a way for him to win.
Apart from being confident and a winner, he cared for those playing around him. He once refused to come out of a Buccaneers game and risked injury, just so his teammate Rob Gronkowski could catch a couple of more passes to activate a bonus on his contract. It was always about the team for him.
