Aaron Rodgers has established himself as somewhat of an enigma. Despite showcasing his greatness out on the competitive fields, the man is no stranger to constant scrutiny. With all the drama surrounding Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, the noise around him has just kept on amplifying.
Rodgers is currently contemplating between ‘retiring and trade’, either of these choices would be a saddening thing for the Packers franchise. Earlier, Aaron Rodgers raised a lot of eyebrows with his ‘darkness retreat’, and most NFL fanatics did not miss this opportunity to take jabs at the Super Bowl champion.
One well-known name within the NFL community, however, came out in support of Rodgers. Colin Cowherd didn’t particularly defend A-Rod but rather had an extremely honest take on him. He also dished out a backup plan for the Packers, in case Rodgers left for good.

Authenticity at its best
Aaron Rodgers’ talents have been an object of admiration for over a decade now, however, not many are fans of his outspoken nature. Many top brasses within the NFL feel that Aaron Rodgers has a keen eye for inciting drama. But maybe the man is just expressing himself.

On his show The Herd with Colin Cowherd, Colin expressed some of his opinions on the matter.
Cowherd went on to say, “This is exactly how Aaron Rodgers acted 2 and 3 years ago, this isn’t a radical change of personality. You gave him an extension knowing this is who he is. Aaron is arguably the most authentic honest and upfront professional we have. Doesn’t mean I always agree with him, but he puts his cards on the table. He will tell you what he thinks about the media, about vaccines, about conspiracy theories.”
Colin deemed Rodgers an extremely honest, upfront, and authentic professional. He even applauded the man for having the guts to speak his heart out. Even though Cowherd has been one of the many critics of Aaron Rodgers, he has somehow made it clear that he is watching closely, earning credibility along the way.

A potential replacement
The biggest challenge for the Green Bay Packers would be to find a suitable replacement for Aaron Rodgers, I mean, you can’t just find another A-Rod lying around. Big-time names such as Derek Carr and Jimmy Garoppolo have been on the Packers’ radar if Rodgers does indeed walk away.
However, Colin Cowherd feels differently, “Hell, Jordan Love is in the building, if Aaron walks, he is in the building, you don’t have to get Carr, Garoppolo, he is in the building.”
