NFL Broadcaster Brian Baldinger spoke out on 95.7 The Game and chimed in on San Francisco 49ers’ future. He expressed a desire to see WR Antonio Brown return to action under the 49ers’ banner. Just a few days removed from Coach Kyle Shanahan’s new 6-year deal renewal, disaster struck the 49ers’ camp.
WR Samuel Deebo has suffered a Jones fracture, as per Ian Rapoport during a training session in Nashville. The news comes as a huge disappointment to 49ers’ fans as news surrounding the 2020 season heats up. Additionally, Deebo Samuel has been tentatively ruled out for a minimum rehabilitation time of 12 weeks. Samuel appeared optimistic about a speedy return to form.

In light of these unforeseen events, the 49ers’ will have to find a suitable replacement for their star receiver. If NFL Insider Brian Baldinger is to be believed, Antonio Brown may be the best option moving forward.
Antonio Brown has had a tough going ever since leaving the Pittsburgh Steelers back in 2018. Much of his troubles have been self-inflicted. Brown has been tied up in alleged sexual assault cases and locker room disputes, causing major turbulence in his career. During 2019, Brown joined and left the Oakland Raiders without any significant contribution.
His time at the New England Patriots has left much to be desired. After further allegations and threatening text messages, the Patriots decided to cut Brown.
Antonio Brown has seemingly been on the straight and narrow path. He has been seen attending practices around the league. Slowly discussions have picked up regarding the WR’s career in the league.

“Well, he’s been working out with Deion Sanders this whole offseason, and he hasn’t been on Twitter, hasn’t been on social media. He’s been quietly working out with Deion, Deion’s son is working out with Tom Brady. There’s past there. There’s no question he wants to come back and play. His debut in Oakland was a disaster.

“Would it be different under Kyle Shanahan, Jimmy Garoppolo and John Lynch? Would he be a professional? Will he be a team-player? I would at least make the phone call. He was the league’s best receiver before he collapsed and fell out of favor. I would make the phone call, and then, you gotta decide.”
The supremely talented WR may have found his window of opportunity for re-entry into the NFL. However, the return is solely reliant on whether Antonio Brown can stay out of trouble.
