After the Tigers won the Celebra Bowl, he spoke at a pregame conference. Many asked him if he thought what he set to do at Jackson State was done by him.
Deion Sanders was clear when he answered the questions. He said, “Never once did I say they were going to put a tombstone with my name on it at Jackson State. I wasn’t gonna die here. “Everything I said I would do here I did. Everything I said I wanted to have happen, I tried my darndest to make it happen. We’ve exceeded expectations in some realm.”
Sanders calmly met the criticisms. However, he clarified that after serving his purpose at the university, it was time for him to achieve his plans.

Winston Watkins, the first cousin of Green Bay Packers WR Sammy Watkins, committed to the class of 2025. He plays for the popular IMG Academy in Florida which saw players like Evan Neal, Greg Newsome, and KJ Hamler. 247Sports ranked him at No.4 amongst the wide receivers in his class and No.13 overall. The young WR had offers from 17 institutions out of which Texas A&M was the favorite to land him.
Sanders will have to work his magic at CU just like he did at JSU. The former Dallas Cowboys cornerback will have to bring a number of four and five-star recruits to the Buffaloes.
