“I Was Invited Randomly”: Weeks After Colin Kaepernick Gets Berated for Accusing Parents of Racist Remarks, Kap’s Girlfriend Gets Real on the Biggest Social Dilemma

It’s been a while since we saw ex-NFL star Colin Kaepernick on the field. Ever since his controversial kneeling in the league as a sign of protest against police brutality and racial injustice in 2016, the former San Francisco 49ers QB has transitioned into being a human rights activist. With a cause in mind and an agenda to tackle, Kaepernick still received widespread criticism after recently making remarks about internal racism that followed his life with his adoptive white parents. But Kap’s girlfriend, Nessa Diab, has always been at the forefront of showing her support for her boyfriend’s cause. 

Nessa herself is an American radio and TV personality. She is the host of Nessa on Air, a successful hip-hop show where she has candid conversations with eminent personalities from the field. She has a quick-witted approach to her exclusives with these personalities. This approach makes her an acclaimed host whilst still growing. And in a recent episode of the show, she addressed a real social dilemma that is faced by people around the world. 

Should a bill always be split evenly? 

Do you think one should always split the bill evenly when going out with a group to eat? On a recent episode of Nessa on Air, Kap’s girlfriend got into a really in-depth analysis of this dilemma with her producer Katrina B. Nessa talked about how even when she was invited by others, she is the one who pays the bill. Justifying her answer, she said that she does not want to feel “obligated” to anybody because they took care of the payment. She goes on to admit it might not be a healthy habit to indulge in, as she recollected events from a previous incident.

Talking about the incident, Nessa said, “I did it the other night. It was a big bill. And I was just invited randomly, and I went.” Because of how hungry she was feeling at that time, she ordered a large quantity of food. Nessa took the initiative to pay the bill that could have still been split evenly between people who were a part of the group. Her producer, on the other hand, felt that her own approach to this dilemma changed with time. Now that Katrina is more financially secure, she sees no reason to not split a bill evenly if she orders less food than the others.

Nessa talks about a lot of off-topics that capture the interest of people in her show. But during another episode with her producer, she opened up about an incident that might have been the nastiest thing she’s ever seen in her life.

Nessa almost threw up talking about an uncommon sanitary practice

In another episode, she and Katrina were talking about an uncommon sanitary practice that left her fans disgusted in the comments section as well. Nessa said that she read an article about someone who puts their toilet seat in the dishwasher to clean it. Imagining something from the toilet coming into contact with things from the kitchen left her almost puking, while it left many eyebrows raised in the comments. A dishwasher is for cleaning dishes, so one can understand where her disgust is coming from.
