“I Want to See My Son Jack Play Too”: Single Tom Brady Merges Family and Football in Future Priorities

Seven-time Super Bowl champion, Tom Brady, is currently single as he decided to end his marriage with Gisele Bündchen after 13 years. However, they share custody of both their kids, Benjamin and Vivian. Brady also has a son named Jack with his previous partner, Bridget Moynahan. In the latest episode of his podcast show, ‘Let’s Go’, Brady talked about watching his son play football and taking on more responsibilities as he’s trying to merge both family and football.

It is worth noting that Brady reportedly chose football over his family, as he decided to un-retire, just 40 days after announcing his retirement from the NFL, which eventually cost his marriage with Bündchen. Since the divorce, Brady has been trying to spend more time with his kids while continuing his career in the NFL.

In the podcast show, Brady said, “The weight of life and the weight of the responsibilities of your life becomes more than I would say the value, the cost-benefit analysis, so to speak… I think there’s an emotional component to those decisions, which do weigh differently on you as you get older because you just have more responsibilities in life.“

Talking about the importance of taking responsibility, he gave the example of his eldest son, Jack. “And that responsibility is amazing; there’s nothing more important to me than my kids. But I want to see my son Jack play too. It was important for me this season, Todd (Bowels) said ‘look when he’s playing football make sure you go up and see him’… I said ‘I don’t give a s**t you coming to see my games anymore, like nooo, like I want to see your stuff,'” Brady further said.

Notably, Jack is already following in his dad’s footsteps, as he is already playing high school football. Moreover, he is playing as a quarterback as well. Last year, Brady watched Jack play football, which was a proud moment for him.

Brady has a tough test for the Bucs in the playoffs

While Brady is trying to focus on both football and his family, he probably needs to shift his focus to football completely this Monday. On Monday Night Football, Brady and the Bucs will face the Cowboys in the Wild Card round, which will be a tough match-up for sure.

Notably, both the Cowboys and the Bucs have lost their week 18 game. Also, in the week one game, the Bucs beat the Dallas team. However, the Cowboys had a better overall season than the Bucs. TB12’s record in the playoffs has been impressive. However, this Monday could be the last time we will see Tampa Tom in the NFL; at least in the Bucs’ jersey. Certainly, it won’t be surprising to see Brady finally hanging up his cleats. That is because he is prioritizing his kids more now.
