Joe Burrow has emerged as one of the biggest rivals Mahomes has ever faced. And according to Bayless, he is better than the Kansas City Chiefs’ signal caller. NFL analyst Skip Bayless finds Patrick Mahomes a careless player who tries too many outrageous things.

While speaking on his show ‘Undisputed’ with NFL legend Shannon Sharpe, Bayless said the league is too good for it to be a sustainable way to play at this level.“Patrick, for taste, is not a careful gambler, he is a careless gambler. He’s going to try things, and sometimes pull them off just because he is so supremely gifted and confident in his own abilities,” Bayless went on to say.

“This league is too good for that. You can only do so much of that,” he continued.

Bayless added that he finds the Bengals QB Joe Burrow a little more clutch than Mahomes. But as always, if it’s a life and death situation he would want the ball to be with Tom Brady. “Joe Burrow has proven to me to be a little more clutch than Patrick Mahomes. But if my life is on the line, I want the ball in Tom Brady’s hands,” the noted NFL analyst said.

Burrow is a kind of kryptonite to Mahomes. He has emerged as the Chiefs’ QB’s biggest nemesis as he has never lost against Mahomes in their three encounters. But Mahomes will probably get another shot at the Bengals this season deeper in the playoffs. And with the kind of form he is in, the Chiefs QB might finally have a say in this rivalry.
The leading MVP candidate
Patrick Mahomes has emerged as the leading candidate to clinch the NFL MVP award this season. He led his team to a number one seed in the AFC, two above Joe Burrow and the Bengals. The Chiefs did lose to the Bengals, but that didn’t matter in the end. And the Kansas City franchise’s form has largely relied on its QB.

Mahomes is the regular season leader in passing yards as well as passing touchdowns. And he is already in the divisional round of the playoffs without playing a single postseason snap. Burrow is coming for him again so he will probably have a chance to put this debate to rest. Can he overcome his nemesis? And can he get his team to a third Super Bowl in four years?
