Sean Payton created a team out of the Saints during his time in New Orleans. He gave the NFL world a monster QB by the name of Drew Brees. And he won the team a Super Bowl title too. So, the question isn’t if he is worth the money. The real question is: if anyone today would be willing to pay that kind of money for a head coach.

And the simple answer is why not? There are franchises that pay exorbitant salaries to their players. A proven coach is worth a lot these days. He has already spoken with a few teams and it is still to be seen where he ends up if he does make a comeback next season.
