AFC championship game’s upsetting end
The game was very close. The Chiefs dominated in the early goings. But the Bengals made an unreal comeback and tied the game in the fourth quarter. The matchup went to overtime. After winning the coin toss, Kansas was on the attack once again.
Ultimately, the Bengals beat the Chiefs after a field goal. But the actions leading up to it have caused some controversy. Joe Mixon had the ball in his possession and he was rushing towards the end zone. While in the attempt to make a touchdown, Mixon fell. He did make contact with the Chiefs’ defenders, but it did not look enough to knock Mixon down. Andy Reid wanted to challenge the fumble and ask for a review, but the officials denied it.
Ried said the officials told him that Mixon gave himself up. A review of the play could have changed the entire outcome of the game.
Andy Reid is looking forward to the next season with the Chiefs
After the AFC championship loss, the head coach is focusing on the next season. He wants the Chiefs to improve their game during the offseason. Whether it is the schemes or the rosters, the team will hit it up in the evaluation period that’s coming up. Reid said that the future is bright for the Kansas City Chiefs. And the team is looking forward to the next season. Reid and his boys are looking to build themselves back up again.
