Patrick Mahomes and his Kansas City Chiefs made history with their Super Bowl win. They went on to tear the league apart with their exemplary performance against the Philly Eagles. It really was an organization’s effort that contributed towards the win. However, that might not be what the NFLPA might think. The NFLPA went on to give the Clark Hunt-owned Chiefs a grey stain on their winning reputation. And, the Owner is not ready to accept this.
The annual survey done by the NFLPA revealed some cracks in the white shining armor of the Chiefs. They went on to give the Chiefs an abysmal rating that would offend any organization. It was certainly not a judgment one would expect for the Super Bowl. However, Hunt was quick to respond to these words.

Every year, the NFLPA gives each team a rating based on the kind of conditions they have for players. One such aspect is the training staff and the facilities. Surprisingly, the Chiefs ended up getting the lowest rating in the whole league. As per NBC Sports, the players’ main problem came from their long-time trainer, Rick Burkholder.
The survey reported that they were discouraged from even reporting their injuries. However, Hunt was adamant that these allegations seemed completely out of the blue. He expressed his disappointment about the score they received on the survey. However, he also said, “I think surveys like that are also positive because maybe they show you some blind spots.” Interestingly, he came to the defense of the long-time trainer whom the reports went against.

Hunt’s defense for the trainer
While Hunt expressed the bright side of the survey, he staunchly defended the personal trainer. With a touching statement for the trainer, Hunt said, “The feedback I hear from the players about Rick and our training staff is really, really positive. That didn’t mesh for me.” Hunt didn’t hold back as he gave the old-time trainer his vote of confidence.
As the issue of rating becomes viral, Hunt continues to stand by the Chiefs. It only remains to be seen if any players from the Chiefs end up speaking about the horrible rating the Chiefs have gotten.
