However, the former quarterback is causing controversy due to his remarks about his adoptive parents.
The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback sat down with CBS Sports. He talked about his new graphic novel, ‘Change the Game,’ which he co-wrote with Eve L. Ewing, a sociologist and University of Chicago professor. He also discussed growing up in a white adoptive family and how it gave him a crude understanding.
Kaepernick opened up about his adoptive parents

The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback revealed how much love his adoptive parents showered on him. However, he encountered situations that taught him that racism starts at home. He mentioned, “I know my parents loved me, but there were still very problematic things that I went through. I think it was important to show, ‘No, this can happen in your own home,’ And how do we move forward collectively while addressing the racism that is being perpetuated.”

Kaepernick also opened up about a potential NFL return. He has not played a snap since he opted out of his contract. However, Kaep has not ruled out a return despite years of remaining off the league.
Colin Kaepernick has invested himself in the betterment of communities since he left the NFL. He is attempting to leave a mark while also serving as an illustration of how he overcame adversity. He has a lot of stuff under his wing, from creating books to collaborating on a crime series. But his latest comments brought livid criticism, and a UFC veteran is speaking against it.

The retired MMA fighter took to Twitter and tried to draw a parallel with Kaepernick’s remarks about his adoptive parents. Kennedy did not look impressed with the answer, hence the retort.
