Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock has been in the news lately for all the right reasons. Recently, Fox Sports host, Colin Cowherd predicted Drew Lock to win the MVP award this year. Now, it is Broncos’ offensive coordinator, Pat Shurmur, who has come forward to praise Lock for his improvements in the game.

The Denver Broncos QB will be playing his second season of NFL. On Colin Cowherd’s recent podcast, he mentioned about the tradition of quarterbacks winning the MVP award in their second season. This tradition has been followed since 2018. Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes II did it in 2018 while Ravens’ QB Lamar Jackson did it in 2019. He stated that Drew Lock can win the MVP award in the upcoming season.

Denver Broncos OC Pat Shurmur praises his QB Drew Lock
In a Zoom conference call, Broncos’ OC Pat Shurmur stated that he is impressed with the techniques of his QB Lock. Pat stated that Lock was able to keep up his installations when the whole team and coaches gather to talk about the game.

Pat addressed that Lock has got a good feel for the game and the Broncos QB has developed a good feel for what his coaches want him to do. Broncos’ OC talked about the rumor of Lock throwing to his players.
Currently, players are not allowed to participate in on-field football activities with their coaches but they can gather away from UCHealth Training Center for training themselves. Pat had referred to a rumor regarding Lock’s reported off-campus throwing sessions with his teammates.

Pat stated that it feels awesome to work with Drew Lock. He also added that the Denver QB is embraced with what the coaches are planning to do on offense.
The Denver OC talked about having good players in all the positions. He stated that his team of coaches has implemented a system during the virtual meeting to make the most of his players. He summed saying that his team will try and make every player perfect for their position.
