As Tom Brady has left the New England Patriots, analysts believe that the top dogs of the division will be Buffalo Bills. Last season, they finished the best of the rest behind Bill Belichick’s side in the AFC East and claimed a wild card spot. However, the first round of the playoffs was as far as they managed to get before bowing out of the 2019 NFL season. Now all the attention is on ‘The Bills’ and quarterback Josh Allen, who fell apart in the wild card game.

Analyst backs Josh Allen to improve in 2020
On Good Morning Football, a clip of quarterbacks was played before pausing on the Bills No.17 Josh Allen. Following this, Peter Schrags broke down the 2018 7th overall draft pick.
He said, “This guy is a great running back and a good quarterback. But is he a bonafide quarterback?” He goes on to highlight a supporting piece in the offense as well as the youngster’s tough experience at the AFC Wild Card Game.
“Insert a certain wide receiver in Stefon Diggs, insert a rough playoff experience.”

“The Bill’s are up 16-0 last year against the Texans. It felt like Josh Allen’s circuit got crossed in that last year’s game in the overtime. He’s throwing crazy laterals. He said it earlier last week, he’s watched back that playoff game and he’s cringing.”
The Texans claimed a 22-19 victory in overtime and went on to face the eventual champions in the Kansas City Chiefs.
“He needs to get better, he wants to improve. I think there are a lot of critics of that quarterback. That team is good, but is that quarterback the guy?”

Now, the analyst indicates that he is firmly backing the 24-year-old to come good this season. “Guess what? He’s big enough, he’s strong enough. And he’s smart enough mentally to know that he’s gotta get even better next year.”

And to conclude, Schrags labels the Bills as the favorites to win the division and end an eleven-year dominance by the Foxborough based team. He says, “I think he will silence critics and I think ‘The Bills’ heading into 2020 are the favorites in that division.”
