Travis and Josh Kelce have a podcast, ‘New Heights’ where they discuss all things football and beyond. The podcast has picked up quite rapidly amongst the NFL community and within just a few months of its existence, it has gained a serious fan following. On a recent series of answering fan questions on their podcast, the brothers revealed some insider family news. 

The mother of the two has been their biggest supporter and is often seen cheering her sons on. A fan asked who they thought their mother would root for if the duo faced each other at the Super Bowl? Unfortunately for the younger brother, there is no second-child syndrome working in his favor, as Jason Kelce was the chosen one. The reason behind it is quite reasonable and made for a fun conversation between the two brothers. 

Travis Kelce is slacking

As most cases go, the younger child is always the favorite. But, even to Travis’ shock, Mother, Donna Kelce had other plans. “I thought it was going to be me until this past weekend when mom threw an absolute dagger into my heart”, said Kelce on the show as he accepted the L gracefully to his older brother. 

Jason Kelce’s daughters are not only the cutest fans the Eagles have, but they also win him special brownie points where it matters. They make up for the biggest spot in their grandma’s heart. “My mom mentioned that my brother is her favorite because he has two beautiful daughters. Till I get kids, in my family I will be second to Jason”, revealed Travis as the conversation progressed.

To this, Jason, very modestly, said that it was a terrible thing for their mom to say. Travis, like the champ he is, saw the reason behind his mom’s words and showed his understanding of the situation. “I get what mom is saying. She loves her granddaughters. Nothing wrong with that”

All’s well in the Kelce camp

The brothers concluded this family-based conversation with Travis, showing full love for their mother. “Mom, I love you. Don’t think I felt bad about that comment”. The show is not only entertaining for fans of the game, but also shows the soft side of these beefy lads. It sets the perfect example of healthy competition as both look to push each other to achieve their best.

The brothers have shown their dominance on the field this season. They will continue doing so as they look to secure a postseason spot for their respective teams. The Eagles are undefeated at 7-0 this season and on top of their NFC East conference. The Chiefs also stay on top of the AFC West with their 5-2 record.
