Rodgers spoke about the multiple moments involving NFL GOAT and Chris Jones to McAfee. “It’s tough. I don’t know how much you can see objectivity in a slow-motion replay. I personally am not begging for those calls, like the one last night. I don’t know, what else Chris Jones can do on that play. That would not be a call I would be begging,” he added.
Aaron Rodgers about football being a collision sport
The 38-year-old is of the view that football is a collision sport, and it is all part of the game. The former Super Bowl winner said there is something they enjoy as QBs. He added it is tough to play defense as they can’t hit the opponents. He admitted he did not start playing football as QB and thus it’d be tougher to handle certain aspects. “So when we are involved in those collisions, there’s part of us., maybe it’s the kid who grows up not playing as QB. But there is something we enjoy as quarterbacks,” Rodgers added.
Earlier, Tom Brady had said he had no role in the decision by the referee. In a presser, he dismissed the views that the champion receives extra support from the officials. Later, in another game, Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones committed a roughing of the passer penalty when holding the football. Jones tracked Derek Carr from behind and snatched the football, and crashed to the turf with the star QB.
