Aaron Rodgers is enjoying his time at the Big Apple. After joining the New York Jets, life has had a lot to offer to the 39-year-old QB apart from playing football. He’s been attending NBA games with teammates and going to Taylor Swift concerts with Hollywood friends. And most recently, the QB surprised fans by making an appearance at the 76th Tony Awards show. While building chemistry with his new team for the new season of the NFL, the 4X MVP is not letting go of any opportunities in New York.
While Rodgers continues his New York City experience, it still draws criticism from a lot of fans. And with his latest Tony Awards appearance, added fuel to the fire started by one of his long-standing critics.

The 39-year-old QB recently took to social media to post snaps of him dazzling on the red carpet of the award show. According to the post, he was in attendance to support his Jets teammate and TE CJ Uzomah. Uzomah is also the co-producer of 5 time nominated play ‘Ain’t No Mo’. But this friendly gesture towards his teammate drew flak from long-time critic Skip Bayless.
In a recent episode of the UNDISPUTED, Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless were discussing Aaron Rodgers’ New York City affairs. During the episode, Bayless cheekily said after Jets legend Broadway Joe, we “all of a sudden have Broadway Aaron Rodgers.” He was of the opinion that Rodgers is making appearances everywhere because such opportunities did not exist back in Green Bay. Bayless went on to state that he “nearly fell off his chair last night” when he saw the 39-year-old QB in attendance at the Tony Awards show on television.
And Bayless has not been a cheerleader of Aaron Rodgers like Rich Eisen. In fact, he had criticized the QB for missing out on OTAs, calling his calf injury ‘fake’.
Bayless called out Rodgers’ missed OTAs
During another episode of the UNDISPUTED, Sharpe and Bayless were discussing the 4X MVP’s interview with the Athletic. In that interview, Rodgers talked about how he won MVP despite missing out on OTAs, calling them out as ridiculous. This led to Bayless being skeptical about Aaron Rodgers missing out on the initial OTAs of the Jets because of a minor calf injury. In fact, Bayless was of the idea that it was just a cover-up to hide the fact that the QB has never been interested in taking part in OTAs. And this habit followed him into his new team in New York.

While Rodgers continues his touristy lifestyle in the Big Apple city, fans will be waiting in anticipation to see if he can fulfill their hopes and dreams of a Super Bowl win, just like Broadway Joe back in 1969.
