Tom Brady has had a not-so-good start to the 2022 NFL season. His Tampa Bay Buccaneers are not in a good shape at the moment. And he is going through a divorce with his wife, Gisele Bündchen.
Many speculated that the greatest player in the history of the NFL might retire mid-season. Now Brady has addressed those speculations.

Tom Brady on retiring mid-season
Tom Brady is facing fire for his team’s performance against the Carolina Panthers. The Buccaneers couldn’t score a single touchdown in the game and lost 21-3. Many analysts have suggested that it is time for the QB to retire. But according to Brady, he has no plans to retire mid-season.
“I said last week that there’s no immediate retirement in my future. There was a retirement in the past, but I moved on from that.” Brady said on the ‘Let’s Go’ podcast.
“But certainly not, you know, I’ve never, you know, I made a commitment to this team and I love this team and I love this organization. I told them in March I was playing and I’ve never quit on anything in my life. And I know a bunch of teammates that we all count on one another to be at our best and to work hard and to put the team first. And that’s what you commit to, and that’s what you want your teammates to commit to as well,” he added.
He also said that he wants to keep fighting and keep improving himself, adding that this team is very important to him. So the supposed ‘last dance’ is not over, just yet.
The Buccaneers lose to the Panthers
Tom Brady and the Buccaneers had a torrid game against the Panthers in Charlotte. The Panthers almost shut the Buccaneers’ offense out of the game. Tampa had to wait till the fourth quarter to put something on the board when Ryan Succop kicked a field goal.

Brady was especially frustrated in the game. He threw 290 yards in the game without an interception. But none of his plays resulted in a touchdown. He completed 32 of his 49 pass attempts in the game.
It was a game to remember for Panthers’ QB, PJ Walker. Walker had a 177-yard game. But he threw two touchdown passes in the process. He attempted 22 passes in the game, completing 16 of those.
