After a nightmarishly bad debut season with the Denver Broncos, Russell Wilson may not be at his best as a quarterback at the moment. However, he clearly doesn’t let his on-field achievements affect his family life. Especially the relationship with his wife Ciara and their kids. This week, on a very special occasion, Danger Russ showed off his appreciation for his superstar wife and singing sensation. And fans just melted at the sweetness.

As the world celebrated International Mother’s Day this week, the NFL stars gathered to convey their love and dedication towards the mothers in their lives. Wilson is known to go overboard with Mother’s Day celebrations. In 2019, he gifted his mother Tammy a house on the special day. However, this time he reserved the long appreciation post for the mother of his two children, Ciara.

Russell Wilson leaves the NFL world teary-eyed

The former Seattle Seahawks quarterback and the ‘Level Up’ singer have been married since 2016. Wilson and his wife are parents to 6-year-old Sienna Princess Wilson and 2-year-old Win Harrison Wilson. In addition to that, the quarterback is also the stepfather to Ciara’s son from her previous relationship with rapper Future, 8-year-old Future Zahir Wilburn. Despite the humdrum and chaos surrounding the power couple’s busy lives, $245 million QB1 Russell Wilson and his wife have time and again proved to be the numero uno in the parenting department.

Happy Mother’s Day to you, my love. You’re the best momma to our kids. You are a leader, a Boss Woman, and the love of my life. So grateful I get to do life with you and raise these amazing kids with you! Heaven sent! We love you so much, baby. Love, Daddy,” the Super Bowl XLVIII champion captioned the Instagram reel.

Ciara had the sweetest reply to her husband’s appreciation post. “I love you so much, baby. You and our babies mean the world to me,” she wrote.

The reaction from Russell and Ciara’s individual fan bases was nothing short of overwhelming. “Beautiful. You don’t find these types of men anymore,” one fan said. “I can’t imagine how you do it all. But you make it look easy,” another commented. “You guys complement each other oh so perfectly,” one comment perfectly summarized the emotions.

Wilson wasn’t the only QB1 with an endearing message on Mother’s Day

Wilson frequently shares updates about Ciara’s family life and professional achievements, including a shout-out for her latest single ‘Da Girls’ reaching the top of the blockbuster charts. Clearly, the NFL world wasn’t too surprised to see a post for the R&B star. However, the same can’t be said for Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen. The retired NFL icon shared an emotional Mother’s Day post, propping up all the important women in his life alongside his mother, including his ex-wife Bündchen and former beau Bridget Moynahan.

Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes also posted a picture with his mother, Randi Mahomes, from after the Super Bowl LVII celebrations. The 2x Super Bowl MVP also had a few words of appreciation for the mother of his two children, Brittany Mahomes.

Although the mothers don’t deserve just one day to be appreciated, it was overwhelming to see the NFL celebrities pay their love and respect to the people so close to their hearts.
