Monday night at the Arrowhead Stadium was enthralling, and filled with eye-catching incidents. Overcoming a 17-0 halftime score, the Patrick Mahomes-led offense clawed their way into winning the game 30-29. Mahomes himself partnered with Travis Kelce to score 4 touchdowns in the second half. After the game, Mahomes’ mother Randi Mahomes took to Twitter to celebrate the moment with the Chiefs fans.

Randi Mahomes posted a tweet that read, “Chiefs fans are the best!! I lost my voice screaming too last night!!! You rock! 🙌🙌🙌🙌”. She was part of a 70,000 odd crowd, screaming their lungs out every time the Chiefs successfully executed a play. And also when the refs made some awful calls.
Fans responded to her Tweet with their own happy memories of the Chiefs winning. Some even claim to have lost their voice but in the comforts of their living room!

Patrick Mahomes comes in clutch as Chiefs snatch a narrow victory
Patrick Mahomes was the star of the show as he completed 29 passes for 292 yards. He also threw 4 touchdown passes, and tight end Travis Kelce was the recipient of all 4 passes. Kelce also topped the receiving charts with 7 receptions for 25 yards. He successfully set a franchise record with his 4 touchdowns in a game and also set a single-game receiving record for Monday Night Football.
As for the Raiders, things could have turned out better. Davante Adams put up a stellar show as he made 3 receptions for 124 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Raiders could have surely won the game if Adams hadn’t collided with teammate Hunter Renfrow, as the two ran their routes. The crash resulted in a 4th and 1 Raiders turning over possession to the Chiefs, with only 40 seconds left on the clock.

Monday night saw the Chiefs extend their season-opening to 4-1, tying for first place with the Buffalo Bills, who they face next Monday. The clash between the Bills and the Chiefs is being hyped up as a “Super Bowl” of its own. But the clash will definitely reflect the potential AFC championship game if the opening records are anything to go by. With the Bills fresh from a thumping 38-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Chiefs will have a lot of work to do. Hopefully, their fans will regain their voices by then, especially Randi Mahomes.
