At Houston, MVP chants echoed through the crowd as the team made their way off the field. Hurts has undoubtedly made his mark this season. Although some seem to believe that the quarterback is on his way to claiming the crown, others have opinions of their own.

Skip Bayless hates the Eagles but loves Jalen Hurts

Commentator Skip Bayles of ‘Undisputed’, a talk show, brought some of his thoughts to light. Bayless revealed that he has never liked the Eagles. But Hurts’ demonstration this year is making it hard for him to hold on to that hatred.

He said, ”I’ve told you, I just grew up hating the Eagles. I’ve never hated the giants, I didn’t even hate the team in Washington that we used to call that other name. But I hated the Eagles. I hated the colour of the uniforms, it’s kinda this sickly green, I don’t know, it’s nasty.”

Both Bayless and Sharpe remarked on Hurts’ performance this season, along with the rapport he shares with his teammates.

Bayless added, “But, Jalen Hurts is making it almost impossible for me to hate the Philadelphia Eagles because he’s got high character, he’s got the strongest football backbone.”

Bayless also stated that he especially loves Hurts’ background. The commentator said that he had a special affection for players who were coached by their fathers because they were taught the right way to play.

Hurts and his MVP run

Analyst Shannon Sharpe of ‘Undisputed’ thinks that Jalen Hurts has been great this season. But he does not rank him ahead of his competitors.

Sharpe believes that the Bills’ Josh Allen takes the number one spot in the running for MVP, followed by the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes. Hurts comes in at third according to him.
