It has gone all wrong for the Las Vegas Raiders in the first 10 weeks of the 2022 NFL season. And to add insult to injury, they lost to a team whose head coach has no coaching experience whatsoever. After the defeat against Jeff Saturday’s Indianapolis Colts, the Raiders QB Derek Carr could not control his emotions.

And he delivered the emotional truth in front of the media and the fans. It made many fans emotional too.

Derek Carr gets emotional

After the Colts defeated the Raiders, handing them their seventh defeat of the season, Derek Carr got in front of the media to deliver an emotional address. The press asked him about the reported disconnect between him and head coach Josh McDaniels. Carr talked about the effort the players put into practice.

“Sorry for being emotional. I am just pissed off about some of the things that a lot of us just try and do just to practice. Or what we put our bodies through just to sleep at night,” a clearly emotional Carr said

He then paused for a bit, trying to gain back his composure. And then he continued, “And for that to be the result of all that effort pisses me off. Pisses a lot of guys off. It’s hard, knowing what some guys are doing, like I said, just to practice. What they’re putting in their body just to sleep at night, like just so we could be there for each other. And I wish everybody in that room felt the same way about this place. As a leader it pisses me off if I’m being honest, said Carr, who was by now clearly in tears.

New interim-head coach Jeff Saturday registered his first win in his coaching career as the Colts overcame the Raiders 25-20 in week 10.

The NFL world gets emotional 

When the NFL world saw Derek Carr in such an emotional state after the defeat, the fans themselves got emotional. Many fans said that they feel bad for Carr, who registered a 99.5 QB rating against the Colts.

This fan explained why the dismal Raiders performance is not Carr’s fault.

A fan advised Carr to let it all out.
