Derek Carr gets emotional
After the Colts defeated the Raiders, handing them their seventh defeat of the season, Derek Carr got in front of the media to deliver an emotional address. The press asked him about the reported disconnect between him and head coach Josh McDaniels. Carr talked about the effort the players put into practice.
“Sorry for being emotional. I am just pissed off about some of the things that a lot of us just try and do just to practice. Or what we put our bodies through just to sleep at night,” a clearly emotional Carr said.
He then paused for a bit, trying to gain back his composure. And then he continued, “And for that to be the result of all that effort pisses me off. Pisses a lot of guys off. It’s hard, knowing what some guys are doing, like I said, just to practice. What they’re putting in their body just to sleep at night, like just so we could be there for each other. And I wish everybody in that room felt the same way about this place. As a leader it pisses me off if I’m being honest,“ said Carr, who was by now clearly in tears.
New interim-head coach Jeff Saturday registered his first win in his coaching career as the Colts overcame the Raiders 25-20 in week 10.

This fan explained why the dismal Raiders performance is not Carr’s fault.
Anyone who thinks this is even remotely close to being Carr's fault don't know how incredibly hard a new OC and head coach almost every year of his career truly is. Dude has a lot of heart and skill. Defense is trash. Play calling is even worse.. And he's right about what he said
