Last year, the whole world witnessed one of the most high-profile marriages coming to an end, as Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen went their separate ways after 13 years of marriage. Both of them have not really discussed the cause of their divorce publically. There were earlier reports suggesting Bündchen gave Brady an ultimatum regarding his career and her. However, the former Victoria’s Secret model rubbished all those reports during a recent interview with Vanity Fair.
As per earlier reports, Bündchen wanted Brady to take care of the family; instead, Brady chose football, which reportedly irked the Brazilian model and ultimately caused their divorce. However, Bündchen believes there is a much bigger story than just football.

Gisele Bündchen opens up about rumors of giving Tom Brady the ultimatum
When asked about her not liking football, Bündchen made fun of all the claims. In the interview with Vanity Fair, she joked, “Are you kidding me? I learned about it! I used to joke that I was going to be able to be the ref because I’ve watched so many games. And I loved it.”
Then, she called the news about her giving Brady the ultimatum really ‘hurtful’, as she thought it was one of the craziest things she ever heard. “When you love someone, you don’t put them in a jail and say, ‘You have to live this life.’ You set them free to be who they are, and if you want to fly the same direction, then that’s amazing,” she further said.

Moreover, she talked about wanting the best for her ex-husband. She feels if his dreams come true, it will make her really happy. One more thing she wants is to live a happy and simple life with her kids. Speaking about that, she said, “I want to do things that I believe are an extension of me… Being a model is not really an extension of me… It’s being an actress in a silent movie… I don’t want to be a character in anybody else’s movie. And when I do that, it doesn’t feel as comfortable for me anymore.”

Although many fans are still hoping to see them together in the future, it seems like the boat has sailed, as they are finding ways to stay happy without each other.
