NFL franchise Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts was not at all in sweet-mood when facing questions about QB Tom Brady. The 23-year-old QB will be leading the Eagles (9-8) against Brady and the Buccaneers (13-4) on Sunday. The NFC Wild-Card playoff game will be played at the Raymond James Stadium. During the media presser, the young QB was not at all in the mood to be answering questions unrelated to the game.

One of the reporters did end up asking a question of what was Jalen’s first memory of watching Tom Brady playing. He did answer the question with a very cold terse response, stating, “I don’t remember.” He didn’t even offer a follow-up statement for the reporters.

The answer by Hurts is quite normal and not a dig at the legendary status of Tom Brady. He is a competitor like Brady and has a singular focus on winning games. Unlike Brady who had a legendary status in the game, Hurts is still far from replicating Brady’s achievements and wants the focus to be on him.

Jalen Hurts enters the Wild Card game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with one motivation, to win. The QB, quite similar to Brady, has had to create opportunities for himself. He was always a second choice to someone before him, and with the Eagles presently, he has the opportunity to be the one.
The young QB was only 6 years of age when Brady won his 3rd ring by defeating the Eagles in the 2004 Super Bowl. Another special moment on Sunday for Hurts will also be that it will be his first playoff appearance. While his opposite number will be playing in his 46th postseason game in his stellar career.
