In an unfortunate situation, the Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was carted off during their Week 4 face-off against the Bengals. The condition was exactly similar to that of his backup passer Terry Bridgewater who incurred a similar injury last season. The veteran recalls the moment and the dilemma he had been through during that period.

The TNF turned out to be a nightmare for the Dolphins, who were desperately trying to maintain their winning streak. Within four days of his previous head injury against the Bills, Tagovailoa got slammed against the turf by the defensive lineman Josh Tupou.

Lifting him by the waist, Tupou forcefully twisted him to the ground. The QB was left numb, unresponsive on the field, with his fingers awkwardly crossed against each other. And the medic team took him to the University of Cincinnati Medical center.

Recalling a similar incident in a recent interview, Bridgewater mentioned his dreadful experience. The veteran happens to be the most eligible person to comment on the issue.

“A lot was going through my mind,” He said in the interview. When asked about how he felt being taken to the hospital in the middle of the game, Bridgewater explained, “I can’t answer that because I don’t remember anything until I woke up in the hospital. They said I woke up in the back of the truck, but I didn’t remember anything until I got the CT scan and MRI”.

With this viewpoint, one can easily contemplate how serious the injury could be. Especially getting a hit twice in one week. Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel was under the radar for giving clearances to the quarterback.

After this incident caught attention, fans were curious to know how Tagovailoa got clearance after experiencing a similar injury in Week 3. Although it was dodged as a back injury, the situation looks somewhat similar.

When asked if coach Mike McDaniel should have done anything differently, he said, “Absolutely not,”. He affirmed if he could have anticipated anything of this kind earlier, then he wouldn’t have taken chances. “That would be irresponsible in the first place, and I shouldn’t be in this position. I do not have any — absolutely zero — patience for, or will ever put a player in position for them to be in harm’s way,” he added to his explanation.
