The Super Bowl week was a momentous time for many, but not for Michael Irvin. The legendary athlete became the subject of accusations from a hotel employee. Michael Irvin spoke out over the scenario, saying, “How can I defend myself if I don’t know what I am being accused of? I don’t even know what this woman looks like. That blows my mind that in 2023, we’re still dragging and hanging brothers by a tree. [I] know I didn’t do anything wrong.”

The Pro Football Hall of Famer was accompanied by his agent Steve Mandell and attorney Levi McCathern. Michael Irvin also said that being held liable for inappropriate behavior towards a hotel staff “sickens” him. The former Dallas Cowboys athlete was in Phoenix for Super Bowl week. But he lost the network coverage from the NFL Network and ESPN.

The witnesses were at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel, the place of the incident. Watkins claimed he did not see something one could deem inappropriate. He added Irvin left for the elevator, and the female made her way back toward the bar. The court also ordered the hotel chain to release the footage, giving a clear insight into the entire scenario.
