Justin Simmons appeared on Good Morning Football on Friday. The 2016 third-round pick spoke about how the upcoming season will be crucial for the Broncos. He also acknowledged the Damian Lillard comparisons.

“Hey, I don’t know if I can rap like Dame. I’m mixed, you know. I know there’s a lot of great white rappers but I, uh, I don’t got that side of my genes on me. But, you know, in terms of being compared to Dame, that’s high praise man.
“Because, you know, Dame – year in and year out – I agree with the statement. He’s under-appreciated but always comes up clutch in the big moments.
“So, if I want to live up to the hype, this season’s going to be the perfect one to kind of put the cherry on top,” Simmons said.

The Broncos finished their 2019 season with a 7-9 record, which was quite an improvement from their 6-10 record from the season before.
However, the team struggled with their offensive plays last season and will hope to do better this time around. Simmons is confident that his teammates will be up for the task as soon as league football returns.

“Come up in clutch moments, I know we got a lot of prime-time games. With all this craziness that’s been going on man, I just hope football can get back and we can get going so I can live up to those thoughts and ideas,” Simmons concluded.
