The Chiefs have remained strong, with Patrick Mahomes holding down the fort. However, Week 14 was tough, as he was not on his A-game. The Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Denver Broncos in a battle of divisional rivals. Mahomes and company won the game, but the quarterback did not have the finest play. Mahomeboy heaped praise on the Chiefs’ players for picking the winning score.

After the Chiefs’ sweep over the Broncos, Patrick Mahomes appeared in the post-game media scrum. The quarterback spoke about the challenges and how the Chiefs’ athletes helped him not give up and win the game. He also acknowledged not being in proper form.
Patrick Mahomes mentioned, “It was huge… That’s why everybody’s NFL caliber players and coaches, and so for them to respond and then uh we go through it out quick and the defense go right back on the field. Tommy flips the field, then we go right back on the field and get a stop. That gave us a chance to get that touchdown drive there at the end of the third quarter. So, the defense, like I said, that guy stepped up. I mean, I didn’t play my best football.”
“Especially at certain points in the game. But guys stepped up around me so that we won as a team,” He added.
The Chiefs QB went 28 for 42 with 352 yards and an 86.6 rating. He scored three touchdowns but also had three interceptions. The INTs were the most in a game since Week 14 of the 2020 season. He had three interceptions against the Dolphins as the QB1.
Andy Reid had encouraging words for Patrick Mahomes
The Chiefs are sitting at the top of their division. However, they had a wild ride at Empower Field at Mile High. The Broncos’ defense gave Patrick Mahomes a tough time after picking up three interceptions. The Grim Reaper is a top-tier quarterback. But in Week 14, he was one to blame for the INTs. But the Chiefs HC had positive words for the QB1.

Andy Reid mentioned every quarterback who has been in the league for a long time has a play like that. But Patrick Mahomes kept firing and making a lot of big plays. The three interceptions cannot be taken away, but there were a few excellent ones in between. It’s a fantastic learning opportunity.
