Before getting involved with an NFL quarterback, Gisele Bündchen had a serious relationship with the Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio. Their bond was the talk of the town in the early 2000s, which the Supermodel didn’t like at all. The exposure she attracted from the media couldn’t help but worsen her mental stability.
While speaking in an interview, Bündchen shared various aspects of her relationship with DiCaprio and the reason why they split after five years of intense love. She revealed that her career had an exponential surge after getting involved with the actor.

Not to mention, it has everything to do with DiCaprio’s popularity in the film industry. However, that was something Bündchen couldn’t handle on her own, and the exposure she received alongside an imbalanced work life made her think twice about their relationship.
“It brought a lot more attention to me, which is something I didn’t feel very comfortable with,” Bündchen said. It was the time when the Supermodel was getting panic attacks because of her unhealthy lifestyle.
“I was starting my day with a mocha Frappuccino with whipped cream and three cigarettes, then drinking a bottle of wine every night. Imagine what that was doing to my mind…” the model revealed in one of the interviews. She was just 22, a highly energetic model, but from within, it was not a lifestyle that she wanted.

Bündchen had to ask herself if this was all she wanted with her life and whether the relationship actually uplifted her spirits. The answer was a big, ‘No.’ Ultimately; she broke up with DiCaprio and met her soulmate on a blind date in 2006.
