Travis Kelce lives for the show. But sometimes, it can get anyone in trouble, just like the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end. A video of him ‘desecrating the Lombardi trophy’ went viral on social media recently, getting him a comparison with Tom Brady. But the Rob Gronkowski follower has rendered a heartfelt regret over the event while maintaining his innocence in the matter.
Kelce is one of the best tight ends to play the game, right alongside Gronkowski. And just like Gronk, the Chiefs TE got the accusations of desecrating the Lombardi Trophy, the ultimate prize in the NFL world. Kelce has responded to the allegations and narrated his side of the story about the events in question.

After a video of him spiking the Lombardi trophy went viral, Travis Kelce is here with his side of the story. The Chiefs star clarified it wasn’t the real one. When his brother and the Philadelphia Eagles captain Jason Kelce pointed out the daughter of the trophy crafter Greg Grohs won’t be happy about what he did, Travis addressed her directly.
Tom Brady had faced the ire of Lorraine Grohs, whose father designed the trophy for Tiffany & Co, after he threw it to his teammates from a boat upon winning his seventh title. She had demanded an apology from the NFL GOAT. Maybe she might want the same from the TE as well. But what exactly happened?

Patrick Mahomes handed a replica Lombardi trophy to his TE Travis Kelce at the draft last month in Kansas City. And Kelce took it all the way to his music festival Kelce Jam. There, he put a can of beer into the replica, chugged it, and then slammed the can as well as the trophy onto the ground to rile up the crowd at his music festival.
Kelce says he bought the replica after winning the 2020 Super Bowl in Miami. Anyway, he wouldn’t be the first person to play with the Lombardi trophy after winning it. The then-New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski used it to bunt a baseball pitch after their 2019 win. And it left a permanent dent in the whole thing.
