Jeff Saturday opens up about winning his first game with the Colts
While talking to McAfee, Saturday said, “I made some small changes and tweaked the practice schedules in general. I tried to keep as much, kind of in line for what roles the guys were playing and what expectations were gonna be for them on Sunday and how the communication was gonna occur… It’s just a matter of process and I feel strongly about process and putting it in place.“
Then, Saturday praised all his players for executing all the plans on the field, which worked for them massively. “Those guys, man, they executed it to perfection. I described it as an orchestra like when I watched it happen and listening to it on the headset and the communication, you know, we had a couple of bumps in the row, but man, all in it was really well done,” Saturday further said.
Notably, the Colts owner, Jim Irsay, had to go against his board members to appoint Saturday as the coach of the Colts. A few days back, he fired the HC Frank Reich after losing against the Patriots; then he immediately hired Saturday. The board members were hesitating at first because Saturday had no prior experience at the top level, but Irsay was pretty adamant about appointing him as the new HC. Although it’s just one game, the result is in front of everyone to see.

Certainly, they still mathematically have a chance to qualify for the playoffs and a few back-to-back wins will help them massively. Next Sunday, they will play against the Eagles. who recently lost their first game of the season. Safe to say, the Colts have a great chance of catching them off guard; or it could go the other way.
