All the past three games of Lamar Jackson of the 2022 season were high-scoring games. Moreover, his ability to rush down the field and pass the ball to his formidable weapons triggered their mobility. But the trend didn’t work out this week.

Until the fourth quarter Ravens and the Bills were tied at 20 and Jackson elected to go for a fourth-and-goal from the 2-yard line. There was a great option for a field goal, but Jackson was confident about his gameplay and opted to continue the game.

There were more than four minutes left on the clock while making the snap; however, Jackson’s crazy interception at the end zone backfired and aided the Bills to start from their side. Moreover, Jackson was unable to find an open space or an athlete to execute the play because the Bills’ defense was much mightier than ever.

“Tall defensive lineman with his hands up,” Jackson said of his view on the fourth-down play. “I was trying to see around him to see where my guys were, but I saw Duvernay late. If I would have seen him right off the bat, that would have been a touchdown.”
