Micah Parsons made the news with his comments about his barber charging $200 for a haircut. This comment of his earned him some flak from fans, considering that Parsons is a pro athlete.

Recently, the linebacker released another tweet, trying to explain his side of the matter. There were reactions to his clarifications from the NFL fans as NFL fans usually do. The fans’ opinion was a mixed bag.

Micah Parsons clarifies his statement

The initial tweet that the Dallas Cowboys‘ linebacker had sent out spoke about how his barber had increased the house call rates. There were uproars on Twitter, mentioning how the comment made by Parsons might have appeared privileged and might be disrespectful. However, the tweet he recently released was meant as a clarification of the way his earlier tweet might have come off to his fans.

While clarifying Parsons made his intentions very clear. Fans on Twitter reacted to it in their typical fashion. A fan reacted by saying.

Another fan jokingly spoke about how they used to cut hair and they’d be open to cutting Parsons’ hair:

There were also some serious comments about tax write-offs that seemed a little out of way.

A fan reacted by telling the linebacker to get his hair cut like normal people.

There was excitement about him growing an Afro.

Even notable personalities like Robert Griffin III commented on Parsons’ tweet.

The fans’ comments went on and on, but there is no denying that the tweets made by Micah Parsons have given him a bit of backlash. While his intentions might not have been so, he did appear a bit privileged in his views. He clarified in his tweets what he actually meant.

Parsons’ clarification

Parsons explained that he did not mean to disrespect anyone’s business, specifically any barbers. However, he went on to say that he simply does not believe that a football player needs to pay a lot for a haircut. He goes on to clarify that this is about how much he would value his haircut.

Furthermore, the linebacker speaks about the origins of his humble beginnings and that being the potential reason for him having such a hard time digesting the higher costs. In the end, the question that one must ask is what is justified in terms of payment for someone who earns as much as a pro athlete does?
