After Lamar Jackson, ESPN host Stephen A. Smith linked himself to another hair controversy. Well, it’s nothing new to him. Smith is often entangled in controversies due to his views and statements. A few days ago, Smith voiced his opposition to ESPN’s ongoing layoffs, which sparked a lot of gossip. This time, it was way more interesting.

Stephen stunts people with his shocking comments, which often puts him in trouble. But this time, he pointed out some serious concerns that have been going on.

Recently, a user named Dolla Billgates tweeted his conversation with the barber, who charged him in bulk. A twist in the events happened when he put on his charges for travel, beard trim, and whatnot.

Barbers in LA is insane.”

“For house calls, I charge $350/hr plus a $100 travel fee. Taper fade, line up+ beard trim about 2 1/2–3 hours, so it’ll be $1,150.”

In response to that Stephen tweeted “Ridiculous” to his post. On one of his podcasts, he said that he would pay that much only if they could aid him in creating a hairline.

” My immediate response to that is that I perfectly understand if it’s coming from me because I’m trying to create a hairline. So, obviously, I need all the help I can get.

This isn’t the first time such an issue has popped up. There was a deep-heated controversy with QB star Lamar Jackson, who was trolled after hitting the jackpot of a $260 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens, which listed him as one of the highest-paid players in the NFL franchise. But, during his conference call, despite appreciating him, something interesting caught the public’s attention. Jackson is always known for his dashing look, but after signing the contract with Raven, he changed his hairstyle, which most fans disliked. People made fun of him for not affording a decent haircut even after signing such a huge contract.

The plot took a twist when Lamar reacted to Dolla Billgate’s tweets. “My Tape must gone last 365days cause you must be out of your rabbit mind.”

This reaction attracted a lot of reaction for fans, while some get confused about LA barber’s pricing policy.

Who is the next one?

ESPN’s layoff season is at its peak. Many renowned hosts like Jeff Van Gundy, Key Shawn, and Max Kellerman were recently laid off due to Disney’s cost-cutting policy. According to Smith, he might be the next to get laid off. He acknowledged that Disney had long announced its plans in February.

This ain’t the end. More is coming. And yes, ladies and gentlemen, I could be next,” Smith said in this bold comment on Monday.

Stephen also pointed out race-related issues that evoked a sense of insecurity on the job.

“Don’t ever, ever, ever in your life, as a Black person, take anything for granted. I’ve told you before: When White folks catch a cold, Black folks catch pneumonia.” Stephen said.
