The 2023 offseason wasn’t a massively successful endeavor for the San Francisco 49ers. While additions such as tight end Cameron Latu did make the 49ers better equipped for the upcoming challenges, a massive weight still lies on the teams’ leaders QB1 Brock Purdy and running back Christian McCaffrey. With Purdy at the helm, the 49ers have grown accustomed to a winning mentality and it looks like Purdy might be taking a similar approach in his personal life as well.

Once again Brock Purdy took a knee, but this time it wasn’t the aftermath of a victory formation on the gridiron.  During his rookie year, injuries to Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo allowed Purdy to prove his worth, and cheering him on in the crowd was an Iowa State volleyball star with her fingers crossed. The love story goes back to Purdy’s college days, and the couple has recently embarked on a much tougher journey, all with promises of togetherness.

San Francisco 49ers’ quarterback Brock Purdy is officially an engaged man. The QB1 popped the big question to his long-time girlfriend and 23-year-old former Iowa State volleyball star, Jenna Brandt. The couple met during their college tenure at Iowa State from 2018-2020, but Brandt soon transferred to Northern Iowa. Still, the couple made sure to overcome every obstacle thrown their way, and even immortalized the bond by sharing rings. An elated Brock Purdy soon took to social media, sharing the heartwarming news with the 49ers fanbase.

My Jenna girl forever. I can’t wait to be your husband and grow together in Christ. Here’s to forever babe. I love you JB!” read the Instagram post.

Also in attendance were members of both the Purdy and Brandt lineage, as the families watched their young ones take a massive step toward the next chapter of life. Naturally, the news broke like wildfire, as the 49ers also took to social media to congratulate their QB1. Joining the celebrations was Purdy’s running mate Christian McCaffrey who commented, “Yessir! The President.” Former 49ers legend Jerry Rice also had a similar reaction as he congratulated the two love birds. With Purdy having reached a monumental milestone in his personal life, the upcoming NFL season will hopefully edge him to continue the stellar performances that took the Niners to the NFC Championship game.

A recipe for success?

The 2022-23 season was a topsy-turvy road for the San Francisco 49ers. As both Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo went down to season-ending injuries, rookie Brock Purdy was trusted with the ball, and the young phenom did not disappoint. Purdy’s first win came against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the streak continued for a considerable amount of time.

With Purdy returning to the 49ers for yet another year, the locker room has put all their eggs in his basket and the responsibilities are fairly massive to be shouldered. Speaking on Purdy’s impact, RB Christian McCaffrey said, “He came in right away and he’s exactly what you would have wanted, He did his job and he made plays beyond the X’s and O’s and that’s all you really want in a quarterback.

As things stand right now, the 49ers need Brock Purdy to work his magic for a whole season, and hopefully the future Mrs. Purdy will play an equally vital role in their success.
