“I Bet Against Brady And Then He Signs Cole Beasley”: Tom Brady’s Former Teammate Jokingly Complains He Didn’t Get A Call To Join Bucs

Todd Bowles’ coached team has roped in former Cowboys WR Cole Beasley into their practice squad. NFL GOAT TB12 has vouched for the 33-year-old for his game experience.

Meanwhile, former Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman jokingly remarked he didn’t want to talk about the Bucs signing Beasley.

Edelman also hinted he was a little jealous that his old friend Brady did not reach out to him about the position. The 33-year-old former Patriots star appeared on ‘Inside the NFL’ show.

Julian Edelman bets big against Tom Brady 

The former Patriots star played with the future HOF-er for several seasons. While talking in the show, he laughingly discussed the new signing. “I don’t wanna talk about this. They just signed Cole Beasley. I didn’t get a call. I bet against Brady and then he signs Cole Beasley,” Edelman remarked. 

Edelman announced his retirement in 2021. However, he later said if he ever returns to NFL, he would never play for any other team other than the Patriots. 

The experienced campaigner spent 12 years at Patriots. It remains the only team with which he played in the NFL. The California-born star also won three Super Bowls with TB12’s former team. 

The Bucs are ready for the next test against the Packers

Tom Brady admitted losing Mike Evans ahead of a crucial clash is a setback for his team. However, they have moved on from the pressure of losing a big player as per his last presser. The Bucs want to continue their winning streak in the NFL. Earlier, they prevailed over the Saints and Cowboys in the first two clashes. 

It was the Bucs who won the last time when they locked horns with the Packers. A-Rods men lost to a spirited Bucs team 31-26 in a see-saw battle. Both teams failed to win the crown and were flattered during the playoffs. The presence of NFL veteran Aaron Rodgers makes the Packers dangerous.
