Deion Sanders is known for running a tight ship. It’s evident with the ongoing chaos with the Colorado Buffaloes and the players suffering at the high standards set by the former Atlanta Falcons legend. While Sanders continues with his unapologetic approach toward life, his treatment of others has continued rubbing many people the wrong way, but turns out Coach Prime simply doesn’t care.

Despite the mass exodus of over 41 players being forced out of the Colorado football team, it might not be Sanders’ boldest take. Recently, the multi-faceted athlete incited public scrutiny by advocating occasionally raising your hand at the younger ones to teach them valuable life lessons. Days after fans continued expressing their outrage at Coach Prime, the legendary athlete dropped another truth bomb, this time concerning his mere personality.

Fans criticize Deion Sanders’ take

Over the years, Coach Prime has developed a persona that many have come to fear. Additionally, the 55-year-old head coach is set in his old-school ways and refuses to entertain the possibility of a change of attitude, or even put in any effort to be likable. Still, Sanders and his authenticity are worthy of appreciation, however, his opinions might be a bit over the line at times.

Recently, Sanders took to Instagram to share the very fabric of his upbringing. Coach Prime shared a post with the message, “My parents spanked me as a child. As a result, I now suffer from a psychological condition known as ‘respect for others.'”

Sanders went on to tag his own mother on the post and applauded the hard-hitting style of parenting he was privy to as a youngster. However, fans didn’t rally behind the message and chose to express their concerns.

One fan even wanted Sanders to take down the post, “This is dangerous dangerous messaging right here as there’s NO study that proves that getting beat down by your parents equals learning respect. Take this rubbish down Coach, as there’s Black men reading this who are trying to do their best as father’s and might read & take this as gospel truth (and start whipping their kids, some with blunt objects)

While another felt that Prime was encouraging lazy parenting, “Spanking aka Lazy Parenting.

One particular fan felt that Sanders was crossing his boundaries, “I didn’t know being a football coach qualified one to be a parenting coach. Stay in your lane.

As another fan felt that Coach Prime was glorifying a wrong aspect of parenting, “Why do we as black people love glorifying spankings, etc….

One fan even went on to drop some hard-hitting facts, “Being afraid of someone doesn’t mean you have respect for them— in fact, it literally ruptures the very influence you do have with your children… this post is simply uneducated.

Since the interaction, Deion Sanders has stayed tight-lipped about his opinion, until recently. As aware as he is, Coach Prime must have been watching the comments section on his post and decided to hit back with another one of his cryptic messages.

Coach Prime’s Response to the Outrage

As more and more fans keep piling on the Deion Sanders’ hatred train, the legendary athlete recently decided to clap back but in peak Coach Prime fashion. Sanders took to Instagram to share, “I’m not rude. I just have the audacity/confidence to say what everyone else is thinking.

Despite the outrage concerning his old-school take on parenting, Sanders didn’t particularly allude to those sentiments. Rather he resorted to killing two birds with one stone, answering the criticism on his parenting perspectives as well as the coaching mayhem ongoing in Colorado football. With Deion Sanders at the helm, both Colorado players and his own children might just have to continue rising to meet his high standards as Coach Prime shows no signs of budging.
