Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was exuding calmness while recently discussing the Packers’ wide receiver room. The reigning league MVP was putting his faith in his rookies’ abilities to adjust to the demands and physicality of the NFL. Despite losing long-term teammates this offseason, Rodgers is counting on the newcomers. Rodgers believes veteran guidance for these players from the old guard can aid their development.

The calmness from Rodgers for his young rookies drew support from NFL analysts like Eric Mangini. During his latest appearance on the ‘Speak For Yourself’ show on FOX, Mangini stated, “I am a believer in the concept of big quarterbacks being force multipliers, and they make the players around them better. I always get frustrated when people say this QB needs more help, the great ones make the players around them better, and Aaron’s gonna do that.

However, he adds that while Rodgers can continue to deliver, it will be the job of the replacements to support him. The loss of Adams is significant in Mangini’s eyes, considering his contributions.

Adams was delivering results, recording 123 receptions, 1,553 receiving yards, and 11 TDs. He admits that losing the Adams was one less headache for any opposition and a cause for concern for the Packers.

Similarly, NFL analyst Bucky Brooks believes the Packers’ QB can mold another star WR. Brooks states that the tradition of having superstar QBs is the reason for the franchise’s success. He adds players like Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, and Sammy Watkins will need to level up. They will be key to making up for the loss of dynamism on offense.

Brooks states that Rodgers’ focus will be to mold his rookie WRs Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Samori Toure. While Rodgers has a lot of work left in the coming weeks, the young core will play a part in any future success.

As another NFL season approaches, there is a growing optimism from Rodgers, seeing the newcomers dealing with the physical rigors. The franchise seems genuinely excited as they hope to mold another Davante Adams-level wideout. The 2022 NFL campaign would provide the Packers the opportunity to reconstruct their WR room.
