Russell Wilson and singer Ciara became the offseason star. Especially after the Denver Broncos blockbuster trade. The couple began dating in 2015 but kept their relationship away from the limelight. They exchanged vows in 2016 and have become the parents of three kids.
Tammy T. Wilson, the mother of Russell Wilson, makes a rare appearance in the ‘Raising Fame: Sports Edition‘ Podcast. Mother Wilson details raising the talented two-sport athlete whose life would experience many highs and lows. She also speaks about how she learned about Ciara’s decision from one of her tracks.
She mentions, “The song, ‘I Bet,’ when I listen to it, I listen to it a number of times. I listened to some other of her songs too, but with that song, I knew in my spirit that she had made a decision. I don’t know how, but I just felt. And so I actually met the guy who helped her write that song. We were at a Rams game. (post of Rams game) One that we won.”

“Um, but he and I were talking about that song, and he was saying, and that’s what he was sharing with me when they wrote the song, she had made a decision. She wanted to handle things a little bit differently, so I’m hoping to believe that everything just works out great.”

Tammy says she listened to Ciara and liked her songs, but ‘I Love Myself’ featuring Macklemore remains her favorite. However, Ciara faced backlash for collaborating with Macklemore for that track. According to Mother Wilson, that song has a deep meaning. Especially when Macklemore enters and asks, “Am I a Daddy?”
