Michael Lombardi said, “I think anytime that you’ve gone through these coaches that have gotten traded, the team that made the trade really won. So, yeah. Whatever it costs.” He also discussed the success of Tampa Bay’s trade for Jon Gruden and the Patriots’ risk for Bill Belichick. However, the Saints may have a high price tag for Sean Payton. They could ask for a minimum of a first-round pick in a trade. Moreover, the price would vary from team to team.

Moreover, Arizona and Denver also received permission from New Orleans to speak with the former head coach. However, the Broncos made an extra move to bring Payton.

Eventually, it could have a positive approach toward Denver’s case and the deal could be sealed rather quickly. The Broncos are a formidable team, and they would require Payton to be their missing piece in order to compete for the championship.
